2018 Southeast Michigan

Ronnie's Army

Ronnie's official diagnosis is criss cross heart, DORV, pulmonary atresia, and a VSD. Ronnie had his first open heart surgery at 4 days old to place a BT shunt. His "big repair" surgery (Senning Rastelli) was done in August 2016. It was a tough recovery that led to an eventual 3rd open heart surgery in October 2016. In October 2017 it was discovered that Ronnies right ventricle outflow conduit was severely narrowed. Luckily, his awesome care team was able to place two stents via heart cath through the groin. This will hopefully buy him a few years until his eventual 4th open heart surgery.

CHD research is grossly underfunded. 1 in 100 children are born with a heart defect. They all deserve a chance at life.  Please donate for them. Please donate for Ronnie.
