Lydia's Superheroes

Dear family and friends,

Go Lydia's Superheroes!

As many of you know, our daughter Lydia was diagnosed with a complex congenital heart defect shortly after birth; she underwent open-heart surgery when she was just three weeks old, and will have a team of specialists caring for her heart for the rest of her life. Despite her early challenges, our Lydia has made it to 1st grade this year, and loves her school. She's into princesses, LOL dolls, and of course, superheroes.

Heart Defects = Most Common Birth Defect

But heart defects are the most common and deadly birth defect, and so many of Lydia's heart warrior friends haven't made it. The older she grows, the more friends she leaves behind. And while the surgical and tissue advances in the past five years have been amazing, there is still a shortage of funding for congenital heart defect prevention and treatment. Walk is Sunday, October 14, 9 a.m. - 11:30

On October 14th, we will be walking in the Congenital Heart walk to raise funds to support research aimed at preventing and treating congenital heart defects. Please consider joining us, even if you are not able to donate this year. We'd love to fellowship with you and I promise you'll be inspired by these great kids. The walk will take place at the Westerville Sports Complex, 455 Executive Campus Drive, Westerville, OH 43082. Registration is at 9am and the walk starts at 10am.

Would you like to donate?

And, if you donate, we'll add your name to Lydia's heart cart, which travels with us on the Heartwalk. Please consider supporting us as we walk – any contribution, no matter the size, is meaningful. Feel free to share this message – we know that Lydia's journey has touched many. With your help, we can make a difference.
