"I am humbled and grateful to be the 2017 Honorary Nurse for the West Michigan Congenital Heart Walk. The Congenital Heart Walk is important in raising awareness in our community and around the world. Education and preventative health maintenance is essential for our adults with congenital heart disease. I participate in this walk, not only for my adult son with CHD, I do this for all the adults I have the privilege to know and care for at the HDVCH Spectrum Health Congenital Heart Center. Thank you for this honor!"

About Congenital Heart Walk
The Congenital Heart Walk is a national fundraising event series benefitting the Adult Congenital Heart Association (ACHA) and The Children’s Heart Foundation (CHF). We walk to honor and remember the millions who have been impacted by congenital heart disease (CHD). The Congenital Heart Walk shows the nation how a team of inspired individuals can join together to make a difference. Funds raised will support the missions of both national nonprofit organizations who are uniting to fight CHD! Since 2010, CHW has raised more than $8 million in total.
