Thank you for visiting the Vanderbilt Hearts team fundraising page! Whether you are a patient or staff member, we invite you to join our team and walk with us on June 17th for CHD awareness!
The Pediatric Heart Institute is comprised of staff from the cardiology clinic, intensive care unit, cardiac catheterization lab, surgery, and step-down unit at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. Each year, over 12,000 children are seen in our outpatient clinics. Our surgeons perform over 500 operations, including 10-12 heart transplants.
Our Adult Congenital Heart Program was formed in 1995. The program is composed of experts in pediatric and adult congenital heart disease. Adult congenital heart services include diagnostic tests and recommendations regarding medical treatment and interventions (both catheter-based and surgical), non-cardiac surgery, pre-conception counseling, pregnancy, and exercise. In collaboration with a primary care physician and/or local cardiologist, adults in this program have access to experienced congenital cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, therapeutic interventional cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology procedures, non-invasive diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation services, and genetic counseling.
We hope to see you on June 17th!
